Account Penalties, or what happens if you break the rules

So what happens if you break the Marapets rules? It's not really possible to give a definite answer to that as (unlike some other pet sites) we don't believe in simply freezing you if you do the slightest thing wrong... Penalties for breaking the rules are flexible and often quite creative - we try to make the punishment fit the crime.
Following are a few examples of what might happen if you break specific rules on Marapets:

First, some advice - If you've been breaking the rules on Marapets, maybe because you hadn't read them, or perhaps you didn't care about whether you got frozen but you've since changed your mind, then the best thing to do is to maramail one of the admins and turn yourself in... Explain what you did and apologise. Staff will always be lenient/forgiving with people who admit they made a mistake and want to set things right, and that way you're almost sure to keep your account rather than ending up banned if you're caught later.

Multiple Accounts

• If you tell staff about any multiple accounts you have BEFORE you're caught with them, then expect the multiples to be frozen. Any penalty you might incur would be much less severe than if you'd got caught with the accounts.
• If you're caught with one or more inactive multiple accounts, then they'd usually be frozen and you'd recieve a warning
• If you're caught with active multiple accounts (ie accounts that you use for sending items to your main, making mp on, storing extra pets on etc) then expect all accounts except for one to be frozen. You might have your main account frozen and be left one of the not-very-good multiples to play on, or you may get to keep your main account but be fined an amount of mp.
• If you've been MAJORLY multiplying (like over 50 accounts), or have kept making multiple accounts after you've been warned about it before, then staff may well just ban all your accounts

Buying and Selling Pets
If you buy or sell a pet for mp and items, then both the pet and the mp/items will usually be deleted. This includes things like LE pet potion/plushies that are traded for a pet - if you want to trade a 'NIY pet' then create the pet BEFORE you trade!

Stealing a borrowed item/pet
The item/pet will be returned to its rightful owner. You might be warned, or fined an amount of mp, or if you've done it more than once your account may be banned

Stealing pets when trading them
If you agree to trade pets with someone, then accept their pet and refuse to either send them yours in return or send them theirs back then we would give the other person's pet back. We may delete your pet or give that to the other person as well
